·        Internationally acknowledged expert in partnerships and strategic alliances.  Has led development of strategic alliances and inter-organizational partnerships in more than twenty countries.

·        Author of over fifty published articles and papers on strategic alliances, organizational partnerships, and communication

·        Travel and work in over 80 countries

·        International radio/TV news correspondent 1954-1986;  final years for ABC News.

·        International communications consultant with governmental and non-profit agencies and projects in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America: 1964-1984.

·        Lausanne Senior Associate for International Partnership Development

·        Consultant on Partnership, Missions Commission/World Evangelical Fellowship

·        Chairman, Task Force for Partnership Development, AD2000 and Beyond Movement

 

·        1974--present:  President & International Director of Interdev.  The pioneer international organization specializing in strategic alliances and partnerships among Christian ministries focused on evangelism among unreached people.

·        :  Director for annual  Cambridge Communications Course, Cambridge, England

·          President of Intercristo -- first international Christian computer-based clearinghouse for Christian work opportunities.  French, German, British, Indian, and Chinese counterparts were established.

 

Education

 

Mr. Butler earned the BSc in Business Administration at Bob Jones University.

 

Personal

 

§         Married to Sybil Stanton Butler and has two married daughters, Karin and Shelley.

§         Member of University Presbyterian Church.

§         Serves as a Trustee for Pacific Marine Research.

§         Hobbies are photography, sailing, and scuba diving.  In 1965 Mr. Butler was a Pacific Coast Divisional road racing champion.
