Dr. Terrie Lillie Director of Global Ministries North Heights Lutheran Church Roseville, Minnesota Terrie gave Christ his heart allegiance on a Taiwan street corner while he was stationed there in the Air Force. From that moment of salvation, God gave him a heart for missions. While still in Taiwan he accompanied missionaries into the country to sell Chinese Christian literature, into the mountains as the missionaries encourage the tribal churches, and into the vegetable markets and night markets to pass out tracks. Upon being discharged from the Air Force, God led him to Columbia International University in South Carolina where he and his wife (Kathy) graduated with a degree in Biblical Education. After Graduation they attended Missionary Internship in Michigan for a year. Upon finishing Missionary Internship they joined OMF (formerly the China Inland Mission that Hudson Taylor founded) and spent fifteen years in Taiwan involved in Church Planting and Mission Leadership. Due to some changes in the government of Taiwan they returned to the States in 1992. From that time to the present position, Terrie was a pastor in two churches. Terrie completed his Master’s degree at Briarcrest in Canada. He wrote his thesis on “Forming and Building Ministry Teams.” In June 2001 he completed his doctorate from Bethel Seminary, St. Paul Minnesota. As you can see, Terrie has a passion for Teams. He led church planting teams. The Taiwan power company—Nuclear division had him do some team training for their work group. He helped establish a team-based factory in South Dakota. He passionately believes that God is calling His church at the beginning of this new millennium to accomplish His task through teams, not lone individuals.
